Gran Turismo Sport Starts Closed Beta on March 17

The initial phase of the Closed Beta will only be open to selected U.S. PSN IDs.

Sony and Polyphony Digital, Creator of Gran Turismo, have announced that a Closed Beta for racing game Gran Turismo Sport will begin March 17 in the U.S.

"Participants will be able to choose from a select rotation of cars and tracks each day to race online against others during the Beta phases. Track and car selections will vary during this period", Kazunori Yamauchi, Founder of Polyphony Digital, said.

Gran Turismo Sport is the first game in the famed racing series to appear on PS4. The last game, Gran Turismo 6, came out on PlayStation 3 in 2013. A beta was due to begin a year ago, but was canceled. Sony also delayed the game's launch from Nov. 15 to some time in 2017. You can enjoy a gallery of Gran Turismo Sport screenshots below.
